Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested in New York City on Monday for allegedly strangling his girlfriend, former WNBA baller Kysre Gondrezick.
The Assault
According to police sources, Kysre locked Kevin out of their room at the Millennium Hilton because he came back early Monday morning after a night out on the town.
Once hotel security helped Kevin Porter Jr. get into the room, he allegedly beat up Kysre Gondrezick.
Kysre was treated for a cut on the right side of her face and neck pain.
Kevin Porter Jr. Arrested
Kevin was arrested and formally charged with assault and strangulation.
Porter was previously arrested in November 2020 in Ohio on a weapons charge, but a grand jury declined to indict him.
New York Fashion Week
Days prior to the assault, the couple was captured together at the Smart Tox kickoff event with Vogue on September 7th for New York Fashion Week.
Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets, who picked up Kevin Porter Jr. on a trade in January 2021, have reportedly released a statement, according to Adam Spolane.
We are in the process of gathering information surrounding the matter involving Kevin Porter Jr.
We have no further comment at this time.
Kysre Gondrezick
Kysre Gondrezick, 26, is an actress, model, and former WNBA player who was drafted No. 4 overall in the 2021 WNBA draft by Indiana.
She played one season for the Fever before being waived.

Kysre’s sister, Kalabrya Haskins, took to her Instagram Story with a very loud message for Kevin Porter Jr.

Kalabrya Haskins, who is the widow of former NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins, is definitely about that action.
You may recall that Kalabrya was arrested in July 2021 for punching her husband in the mouth and knocking out his tooth.
Earlier this year, she filed a lawsuit claiming her husband was robbed and targeted in a blackmail scheme before his death on April 9, 2022.
