If you thought “Beauty in Black” was ending after Season 3, you’re not alone.
Back in December, Netflix announced Tyler Perry‘s hit drama had been renewed for a third and final season.
Now, the streamer has changed course, renewing “Beauty in Black” for Season 4 before Season 3 has even premiered.
Considering how well Season 2 performed, the renewal isn’t all that surprising.

Season 2, which was released in two parts, spent six weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and reached No. 1 in 17 countries, proving viewers are still invested in the Bellarie family.
Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Tyler Perry, “Beauty in Black” follows two women from completely different worlds whose lives become dangerously intertwined.
Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) is trying to rebuild her life after being kicked out by her mother, while Mallory (Crystle Stewart) sits atop the powerful Bellarie empire.
Their connection pulls them into a dangerous world of power, betrayal, and deadly secrets.
What To Expect In “Beauty In Black” Season 3
When “Beauty in Black” returns, Kimmie finally earns a seat at the Bellarie table.
But her new position comes with new enemies.
A deadly feud forces Kimmie and Mallory into an uneasy alliance as they navigate blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets.
Meanwhile, the Bellarie empire begins to crumble from within.
Netflix has not announced a Season 3 premiere date.
Tyler Perry Says The Story Isn’t Finished
Tyler Perry is grateful he’ll have the chance to keep exploring the world of “Beauty in Black.”
“Beauty in Black is back for Season 4, and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished,” Perry said. “There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story.”
He also thanked fans for supporting the series since day one and confirmed that more episodes are on the way.
