Jamie Foxx is denying the sexual assault allegations levied against him in a new civil lawsuit.
A woman claims the Oscar-winning actor sexually assaulted her in 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
In a statement released on behalf of Jamie Foxx he said the incident “never happened.”
He also alleges in 2020, the accuser filed a “nearly identical lawsuit” against someone else in Brooklyn.
“The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter,” a spokesperson for Foxx said Thursday.
“The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”
Jamie Foxx is one of many high-profile celebrities, including Cuba Gooding Jr., Jimmy Iovine, and Diddy, who have been sued for sexual assault this week as New York’s Adult Survivors Act is set to expire.
