Cardi B says she plans to sue the LAPD after they tried to arrest her for drug trafficking after receiving a “tip.”
The Grammy Award-winning “Enough” rapper detailed her harrowing experience during an Instagram Live on Monday (March 26).
“They had all the helicopters in LA! Yo, I was freaking out. They had me outside for like three hours,” she recalled.
They had me getting butt-naked outside!
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, likened the incident to something you’d see in a movie.
“S— was crazy! It was dead— a movie and whatever but you already know,” she added.
Cardi B revealed she pleaded with the LAPD by telling them who she was and that she would never sell drugs, but her words fell on deaf ears.
The 31-year-old mother of two disclosed her plans to sue the LAPD.
I’m bout to sue the LAPD.
“Yo, I’m Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some s—?! Like why would I do that?! I would never do no s— like that,” she said. “They didn’t believe me. It was some White cops and they ain’t know who I was. It was really tough on me and everything.”
I’m sure you’re wondering why the LAPD would think Cardi B was trafficking drugs.
She revealed, “They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and s—. Like they really trying to ruin my life type s—!”
