Beulah Jackson’s Secret Finally Comes To Light
The episode opens with a flashback that reveals what happened between a young Beulah Jackson and Luke, the cowboy she met during a night out with friends.
The scenes were difficult to watch and added important context to many of the choices Beulah has made throughout her life.
For weeks, viewers have debated whether Beulah is a villain, a victim, or something in between.
After Episode 7, I think that conversation has become much more complicated.
The final flashback of the episode left me speechless and completely changed the way I view her character.
Robert William Jackson III Shows Exactly Who He Is
If there was any doubt about how dangerous Robert William Jackson III can be, Episode 7 erased it.
After discovering Beulah planned to hand over 10 Petal Ranch to Joaquin, he confronted his mother and delivered an ultimatum that left her with an impossible choice.
What made the situation even worse was learning that Oreana played a role in helping him gain access to Beulah’s private plans.
Watching a mother realize her own son has become everything she feared was one of the strongest moments of the season.
Poor Carter Can’t Catch A Break
Can we talk about Carter for a minute?
The young cowboy arrived at the celebration hopeful and excited, only to spend most of the evening watching Oreana give her attention to Harrison Williams.
Then Sheriff Homicide decided to add insult to injury by reminding Carter where he stands in the social hierarchy.
By the end of the night, Carter was hurting, embarrassed, and making decisions that only added to the chaos already unfolding around him.
Is Beulah’s Story Coming To An End?
The episode’s biggest shock came when Beulah collapsed shortly after announcing that Robert William Jackson III would inherit 10 Petal Ranch.
The reactions from Joaquin, Everett, Beth, Rip, and Zane Nash said everything.
Nobody believed this was the outcome Beulah truly wanted.
Now the biggest question heading into Episode 8 is whether Beulah survives and what happens to 10 Petal Ranch if she doesn’t.
One thing is certain: “Dutton Ranch” just delivered its most emotional episode yet.
Frens, what did you think about Episode 7? Do you believe Beulah made the right decision?
And what do you think Robert William Jackson III has planned next?
