Cardi B will not face charges for throwing a microphone at a fan in Las Vegas last weekend.
On Saturday, July 29, the Grammy Award-winning rapper was performing at Drai’s Beachclub.
Cardi asked the crowd to splash water on her private parts to keep her cool during her performance.
But, things went awry when someone in the audience tossed a cup with an unknown liquid and ice right into Cardi B’s face.
She reacted by throwing her microphone at the person.
Unfortunately, the microphone hit her target and another innocent bystander, who filed a police report on her.
Offset’s wife was listed as a battery suspect on the police report, but the case was dropped.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department concluded Cardi B did not commit a crime.
Her attorneys Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, told TMZ:
This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi.
On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.
Going forward, Cardi B should only instruct the crowd to rap along to her songs.
