When it comes to protecting her people, Cardi B does not play about hers.

The Bronx rapper has come to the defense of her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, after the NFL star was hit with strangulation charges tied to an alleged altercation with his personal chef in December.

Cardi first addressed the situation on Monday, January 5, in a since-deleted tweet that included a photo of an alleged text message exchange she says came from the woman accusing Diggs.

The Alleged Text Message Cardi B Shared

According to Cardi, the woman never mentioned being touched until recently.

The text message shared in the deleted post read:

“I’m sooo sorry, I can’t talk to you, I didn’t say that especially in the way it was written, please contact my mediator and she will answer anything you need to know. But only in person and confidently.”

Cardi followed up with a strongly worded response, saying the accuser never raised concerns while they were in consistent communication.

“Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!! Mind you, we was talking every single day until she left that house and she JUST wrote me this,” Cardi wrote.

She added that she plans to let the legal system do its job while calling out online critics in the process.

“But I’m gonna let the courts handle sh*t and when it gets handled I want all yall talkin sh*t on your knees f**kin with apologies just as loud as the way yall been harassing over a lie,” she wrote, adding that she stands firm in her confidence.

What Stefon Diggs and His Legal Team Are Saying

The woman reported the alleged incident to law enforcement on December 16, claiming an argument over a salary dispute turned physical earlier that month.

Diggs was formally charged on December 30.

Stefon Diggs is set to be arraigned in a Massachusetts court on January 23, which could fall just days before the AFC Championship game if the New England Patriots advance in the playoffs.

Briefly addressing the situation, Stefon described the moment as “very emotional” and said he could not speak further due to the open case.

His attorney, David Meier, issued a strong statement denying the allegations.

“Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations. They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated because they did not occur,” Meier said, pointing to an unresolved employee-employer financial dispute as the motivation behind the claims.

Cardi B Is Staying Focused

While the legal process unfolds, Cardi B is keeping her attention on work.

The rapper is currently rehearsing for her upcoming “Little Miss Drama Tour,” which kicks off in February.

During an X Spaces conversation on Monday, she reassured fans that she is pushing through.

“Tour is going to be amazing,” Cardi said. “Everything is gonna go great. All the things that’s been getting thrown at me, that’s just the devil. The devil always come around when you’re gonna hit new levels.”
