Wendell Pierce and his boo thang, Erika Woods, are joining the cast of Starz’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” Season 3 in recurring roles.
In Season 3, Wendell plays Ishmael “Snaps” Henry, a living legend on the street, former bank robber, and OG dealer who now acts as a mentor and financier for up-and-comers like Kanan.
Erika plays the role of Ishmael’s partner, wife, and the love of his life, Stephanie ‘Pop’ Henry.
About ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’
Set in South Jamaica, Queens, in 1991, the series is a prequel to the original “Power” franchise.
It is a sprawling family drama that revolves around the coming of age of Kanan Stark; Ghost and Tommy’s mentor, partner, and adversary, who ultimately dies in a hail of gunfire in the eighth episode of Power’s penultimate season.
“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” Season 2 starred Patina Miller as “Raquel Thomas,” Mekai Curtis as “Kanan Stark,” Hailey Kilgore as “Jukebox,” Joey Bada$$ as “Unique,” Malcolm Mays as “Lou Lou,” London Brown as “Marvin Thomas,” Natalee Linez as “Jessica Figueroa, Omar Epps as “Detective Howard,” Ade Chile Torbert as “Scrappy,” LeToya Luckett as “Kenya,” Omar Dorsey as “Cartier “Duns” Fareed,” and Toby Sandeman as “Symphony Bosket.”
I am super excited about the addition of Wendell Pierce, who I have loved since “The Wire.”
He’s currently starring in Prime Video’s hit series, “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.”
The beautiful and talented Erika Woods has been putting in work on NBC’s “The Blacklist” and CBS’ “Blue Bloods.”
