What Is “Sugar” Season 2 About?
Season 2 picks up with private investigator John Sugar choosing to remain on Earth as he continues searching for his missing sister while taking on a brand-new case involving the disappearance of the older brother of an up-and-coming boxer.
But this wouldn’t be “Sugar” without things getting dangerously complicated.
As the investigation expands, Sugar finds himself pulled into a sinister city-wide conspiracy that forces him to confront difficult questions about morality, justice, and how far he’s willing to go to protect the people he cares about.
And visually? The trailer looks incredible.
From the moody cinematography to the tension-filled action sequences, “Sugar” still feels more cinematic than most detective dramas currently streaming.
The noir-inspired atmosphere mixed with emotional storytelling continues to give the series its own unique identity.
New Cast Members Join Season 2
Alongside Colin Farrell, the second season introduces several new cast members including Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, and Sasha Calle.
Shea Whigham will also appear as a special guest star.
The series is showrun by Sam Catlin and created by Mark Protosevich, with Colin Farrell also serving as an executive producer.
