If you’re looking for your next thriller, “Wild Cherry” is now streaming on Paramount+, and I have a feeling this one is about to have everybody picking sides.
The new six-episode BBC thriller follows two lifelong friends whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel after their daughters become caught up in a shocking scandal.
As secrets start coming to light, loyalties are tested, and the exclusive community they call home begins to fall apart.
I didn’t receive advance screeners for this one, so I’ll be watching “Wild Cherry” right alongside you.
But after seeing the trailer, I can’t even lie… I’m intrigued.
What To Know About “Wild Cherry”
Lorna is a self-made businesswoman who has built a successful life for herself and her daughter.
Her best friend, Juliet, comes from a world of wealth and privilege, and together they’ve created what looks like the perfect life inside an exclusive community.
Their daughters are also best friends, but everything changes when they’re implicated in a shocking scandal.
What begins as one incident quickly snowballs into something much bigger.
Long-buried secrets begin to surface, friendships are pushed to the limit, and Lorna and Juliet find themselves on opposite sides as the truth slowly unfolds.
If the trailer is any indication, “Wild Cherry” isn’t just about one scandal.
It’s about what happens when the people with the most to lose start protecting their own.
Who Stars In “Wild Cherry”?
The series stars Carmen Ejogo as Lorna and Eve Best as Juliet.
The cast also includes Imogen Faires, Amelia May, and BAFTA Award winner Nicôle Lecky, who also created and executive produced the series.
Watch The “Wild Cherry” Trailer
The trailer teases plenty of tension, emotional confrontations, and twists without giving too much away.
That’s one of the reasons it caught my attention.
Will You Be Watching?
I’m always looking for a thriller that keeps me guessing, and “Wild Cherry” looks like it has all the ingredients to do just that.
Since I didn’t get screeners, I’ll be experiencing every twist and revelation with the rest of you, which honestly makes it even more fun.
If you’ve already started watching “Wild Cherry,” let me know what you think.
And if it’s still on your watchlist, tell me if you’ll be pressing play this weekend.
Drop down in the comments. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
