I knew Adam Wingard was cooking up something crazy, but I wasn’t expecting genetically engineered super soldiers, nonstop bloodshed, and Adria Arjona looking ready to take on an entire army.
This trailer doesn’t ease you into the madness. It throws you right into it, and I have to admit, I’m intrigued.
Onslaught arrives exclusively in theaters and IMAX on September 4, and after watching this trailer, it’s definitely earned a spot on my list of movies to keep an eye on.

The story follows a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers that escapes into the desert, leaving death and destruction behind.
Their biggest mistake? Crossing paths with a highly trained Army sniper.
Adria Arjona stars as the woman determined to protect her young daughter, and she doesn’t look like someone who’s planning to run from the fight.
The trailer is packed with intense action, gruesome kills, explosions, and creatures that look like they were designed to haunt your nightmares.
The biggest takeaway? Onslaught doesn’t look interested in playing it safe.
It looks loud, bloody, and absolutely chaotic.

The cast includes Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall.
Behind the camera is Adam Wingard, who directs from a screenplay by Simon Barrett.
The story was created by Wingard and Barrett, longtime collaborators who have delivered plenty of memorable thrills over the years.

The trailer doesn’t give away every surprise, and I actually appreciate that.
It gives us just enough to know we’re in for a brutal, action-packed horror movie without spoiling all the fun.
