Dexter Morgan is back, but this time… he’s not the only monster in the room. “Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2 has officially started production in New York City, and from everything I’m seeing, the stakes are about to get dangerously high for Dexter and everyone in his orbit.

What To Know About ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2

  • Production is now underway in New York City
  • Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan
  • Two new killers are entering the story
  • Harrison’s journey continues with major complications
  • Season 1 is currently streaming on Paramount+

‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Cast Adds Major Star Power

Season 2 is bringing back familiar faces while leveling up the danger in a big way.

Returning cast includes Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, Dominic Fumusa, James Remar, and Desmond Harrington, who has now been promoted to series regular.

But the real twist? The new additions.

Bokeem Woodbine joins as Capt. Mixon, a relentless homicide captain, while Nona Parker Johnson plays Fiona Mixon, a sharp training officer who also happens to be Harrison’s new love interest.

Yes… that already sounds messy.

Brian Cox and Dan Stevens join Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 as the New York Ripper and the Five Borough Killer on Paramount+

Then there’s Brian Cox stepping in as the chilling “New York Ripper,” and Dan Stevens as the “Five Borough Killer.”

Two killers. One city. And Dexter caught right in the middle.

What ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Is About

From showrunner Clyde Phillips, Season 2 pushes Dexter into one of his most dangerous situations yet.

He’s facing off against not one, but two killers wreaking havoc across New York City… all while dealing with something a little more personal and unpredictable, a mid-life crisis.

At the same time, Harrison continues his own pursuit of justice, setting up a father-son dynamic that’s being teased as their darkest chapter yet.

If Season 1 pulled you back in, Season 2 looks ready to completely shake things up.

When Will ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Be Released?

There’s no official release date just yet, but with production now underway, a late 2026 or early 2027 premiere on Paramount+ is looking likely.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for updates because this one already feels like a must-watch.
