Nick Cannon’s 5-Month-Old Son, Zen Cannon, Passes Away From Brain Tumor

I am heartbroken to report Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott‘s baby boy, Zen Cannon, passed away from a malignant brain tumor.

Nick shared the devastating news about his 5-month-old during his talk show, “The Nick Cannon Show,” on Tuesday (December 7).

While speaking to his audience, Nick Cannon shared that the first month was great, but by the second month, he noticed Zen would always have a “sinus thing…it was like a cough.”

Nick also said that Zen had a “really interesting breathing” and he had a nice-sized head that he jokingly called a “Cannon head.”

They took Zen to get checked out in what Nick said he thought would be a routine visit to the doctors.

That’s when they learned Zen had a condition where fluid was building up in his head and that was causing the baby’s head to get bigger.

It turned out to be a malignant tumor and Zen had to undergo surgery immediately.

A shunt was placed in the baby’s head and Nick said, “We were hoping for the best.”

But, on Thanksgiving things took a turn for the worse and the tumor began to grow a lot faster.

This past weekend, Nick says he made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen that he could.

On Sunday, they took Zen to the ocean and watched a sunrise and sunset as they held him for the last time.

It was a beautiful setting.

Nick Cannon also expressed his admiration for Zen’s mother, Alyssa Scott, who he said was “the strongest woman he’s ever seen.”

Zen Cannon was the youngest of Nick Cannon’s seven children.

My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with Nick, Alyssa, and their families during this difficult time.
