While sitting in as a guest co-host of “The Breakfast Club,” LisaRaye McCoy addressed old rumors that claimed she got Stacey Dash fired from “Single Ladies.”
The actress seemed a tad annoyed to still be talking about this so many years later, but she cleared the air by saying:
That’s a rumor because I don’t have that much power.
That was the network’s decision.
LisaRaye took it a step further to note that she didn’t bad mouth Stacey to the producers of the show either.
Just for the record, I didn’t even do that with Stacey Dash.
I didn’t even go and say anything like that.
I could have worked with her the next day because I don’t need to like you to make money.
LisaRaye McCoy did recall when Stacey Dash showed up to work with security.
She brought security and everything. I didn’t know what they were there for.
I felt the tension in the room and I was like, ‘What is there security?’
They was like, ‘For yo @ss!’
It was like, ‘What?!’

Stacey Dash abruptly departed “Single Ladies” in 2012, during Season 2, when her character, Valerie, was shipped off to Milan and replaced by Raquel, played by Denise Vasi.
These days, you can find Stacey flexing her acting chops on TikTok to various sounds and/or dancing her stress away.
LisaRaye McCoy is set to host TV One‘s new dating reality show, “Asking For A Friend,” which premieres on Thursday, February 9.
