It’s with a heavy heart that I report legendary boxer and trainer Roger Mayweather has passed away.

He was 58.

Roger’s cause of death is unknown at this time, but his health had been declining for years.

In 2015, Floyd Mayweather opened up about his uncle’s health saying, “My uncle Roger Mayweather has lost a lot of memory from the sport of boxing. He’s only in his 50s, but it seems like he’s an old man in his 80s.”

Roger Mayweather fought 72 professionals fights and he was a two-weight world champion.

He was loved and well respected in the boxing community.

Please keep the Mayweather family, especially Floyd, uplifted in prayer.

He and his uncle were extremely close and Floyd just lost Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children, last week.

My sincerest condolences.
