Beth’s Instincts Were Right All Along

Things popped off almost immediately when Rob Will rolled up to 10 Petal looking for smoke after Beth and Rip intercepted the latest cattle shipment.

After Rip punched the cornbread and stuffing out of Rob Will, Beth spotted the tally book lying on the ground and picked it up.

That little book ended up exposing a much bigger problem than anyone expected.

Back at Dutton Ranch, Everett examined the suspicious cattle and made a discovery that changed everything.

Instead of healthy livestock, he found packages of fentanyl hidden inside the cattle, confirming Beth’s suspicions that something wasn’t right.

At that point, there was no turning back.

Beulah Finally Told The Truth

One of the biggest moments of the finale came when Beulah finally came clean to Everett.

She revealed that years ago, Mariano Reyes helped her cover up a murder after she killed the man who assaulted her as a teenager.

In return, Mariano eventually called in a favor, leading Beulah to use 10 Petal to help smuggle drugs across the border.

What started as a temporary solution after the drought turned into a 15-year arrangement that completely spiraled out of control.

Even worse, Beth and Rip had no idea they had been running a ranch tied to a cartel operation.

Talk about being thrown into the deep end.

Mariano Declares War On Dutton Ranch

Once Mariano learned the drugs were missing, it was only a matter of time before somebody came looking for them.

Sure enough, Mariano sent his men to Dutton Ranch, leading to an all-out gunfight between Rip, Everett, Zach, Azul, and the cartel.

The action was intense, but what really stood out was seeing everyone come together to protect the ranch and each other.

Thankfully, Rip and the crew survived the attack, but it was obvious this fight is far from over.

Rob Will’s Story Comes To A Tragic End

Just when it looked like Rob Will might finally be turning a corner after his emotional conversation with Oreana, everything came crashing down.

Following Mariano’s orders, Keno killed his own brother, leaving Oriana to discover her father’s body.

That scene was absolutely heartbreaking and will undoubtedly change the Jackson family forever.

Carter Is Missing

While all of this chaos was unfolding, Beth spent nearly the entire episode trying to find Carter.

Unfortunately, Mariano’s men found him first.

After Carter answered the door expecting Oriana, he was ambushed, knocked unconscious, and thrown into a van.

The finale ended with Mariano calling Beth to let her know he had “her boy.”

Rip quickly realized Carter wasn’t the real target.

The cartel wants Beth and Rip.

Beth’s response?

“Then they’re gonna f**king get us.”

Now that’s how you end a season!
