Robert De Niro‘s 19-year-old grandson Leandro De Niro Rodgriguez has passed away.
The Oscar-winning actor’s daughter, Drena De Niro, took to social media over the weekend to share the sad news of her son’s passing in a heartfelt tribute post.
Dreana wrote:
My beautiful sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly.
You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life.
I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you.
I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama.
You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you 😞 I’m so sorry my baby, I’m so sorry @carlosmare 😢💔.
Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise my darling boy 🙏🏽💔💔💔💔💔🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

Drena is the eldest of Robert De Niro’s seven children.
The actor adopted her in 1976 after he married her mother, Diahnne Abbott.
They later called it quits in 1988, but the former couple became grandparents when Drena welcomed Leandro with sculptor Carlos Mare in 2004.
Leandro De Niro Rodriguez’s cause of death has not been revealed.
Sending my prayers and deepest condolences to Robert, Drena, and the entire De Niro family during this difficult time.
