Paramount+ has officially locked in a Season 3 renewal for its hit series “Landman” after the show pulled major numbers and broke viewing records with its explosive second season.
The folks over at West Texas are eating good.
Paramount+ confirmed the renewal on December 5, and honestly I’m not surprised one bit.
The “Landman” train is moving full speed ahead and the audience is clearly riding right along.
Season 2 Is Already Making Major Noise
Season 2 premiered Sunday November 16 and wasted no time climbing the charts.
According to preliminary Nielsen data, “Landman” is on track to be a top 3 original series the week of November 17 and a top 2 series the week of November 24.
That is a whole win for Paramount+.
And let’s talk about these views.
The Season 2 premiere pulled in over 9.2 million streaming views within the first 48 hours on the platform.
That is a staggering 262 percent jump from the Season 1 premiere and the most-watched premiere for any original series in Paramount+ history.
Every Sunday is looking like a field day for the “Landman” crew.

Billy Bob Thornton Is Getting His Flowers
Billy Bob Thornton, who stars as Tommy Norris, scored a Critics Choice nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Frens, he has been acting down in this show, so the recognition is well deserved.
Tommy is out here navigating West Texas chaos with a level of stress I could never personally sign up for.
Meet The Star Studded Cast
“Landman” is co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.
The cast is stacked with Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton, Oscar nominee Demi Moore, Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, and Oscar nominee Sam Elliott.
Additional cast includes Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Mustafa Speaks, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
The show is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Billy Bob Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly also serve as executive producers.
Tommy Turtle is on deck as co executive producer.

What Season 2 Is Serving
Season 2 digs deeper into the grit of West Texas where the oil comes up but so do the secrets.
Tommy Norris is pushed to the edge while pressure mounts from M Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the ghosts of his own kin.
Survival out there is not cute or noble.
It is brutal. Something is bound to break, and honestly, I am just trying to brace myself.
Are You Watching?
“Landman” is proving why it is one of Paramount+’s crown jewels and with Season 3 officially on the way, the energy is only going up from here.
Drop down in the comments and let me know if you are caught up on Season 2.
If not, go ahead and grab your snacks and get into the chaos of West Texas life.
