Kim Kardashian‘s venture into the world of entertainment continues to gain momentum as she secures a first-look deal with 20th Television, the powerhouse studio behind hits like “American Horror Story” and her upcoming Hulu drama, “All’s Fair”.
This multi-year agreement marks a significant milestone in Kim’s evolving career, spanning drama, comedy, and limited series.
Kim Kardashian’s first project under the new deal is “Group Chat”, a comedy in development for Hulu.
She’s collaborating with her bestie, La La Anthony, who will headline the series.
“Group Chat” is inspired by La La’s bestseller “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness” and is created by “black-ish” mastermind Kenya Barris.
The series is a co-production between 20th TV and BET Studios, with Kardashian, Anthony, and Barris serving as executive producers.
Reflecting on her expanding role in television, Kim Kardashian shared, “I’m incredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated, and relevant, drawn from my own experiences and those close to me. My experience working with the team at 20th Television on ‘American Horror Story: Delicate‘ was phenomenal, and I’m excited to develop more projects with them and the amazing team at Hulu.”
La La Anthony, known for her role as LaKeisha on “Power” and her recurring appearances on “The Chi” and “BMF“, brings her star power to “Group Chat“.
The actress and author’s previous work includes the film The Bad Guardian and her bestselling books, “The Love Playbook” and “The Power Playbook“.
