Heart Of The Beast had my attention for three reasons: Brad Pitt, a Special Forces survival story, and a disabled dog.

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Heart Of The Beast, and while Brad Pitt is front and center, I have a feeling many of us are going to be rooting just as hard for Odin, his loyal combat dog.

Brad Pitt And Odin Are Stranded In The Alaskan Wilderness

Brad Pitt stars as James Belmont, a Special Forces officer whose life changes in an instant after a devastating plane crash leaves him stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness.

His only companion is Odin, a disabled combat dog who becomes his lifeline as the pair battle brutal conditions and fight to stay alive.

One thing that stood out to me in the trailer is how much focus is placed on the relationship between James and Odin.

While survival is clearly the main challenge, Heart Of The Beast looks like it’s just as much about trust, loyalty, and refusing to give up when the odds are stacked against you.
