On Day 2 of Jonathan Majors’ trial for misdemeanor assault, Grace Jabbari, his ex-girlfriend and accuser, took to the stand and detailed a manipulative pattern of abuse in their relationship.
Grace Jabbari met Jonathan Majors in the United Kingdom on the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
He starred in the film and she worked as a movement director for the Marvel project.
After a brief acquaintance, Grace said the actor had his hairstylist slip her his number and they went on a date.
The relationship progressed “fast,” she said.
“We spent every day together, maybe minus a few, within the next few months,” Grace Jabbari said. “He told me he loved me very early on.”
She said Jonathan Majors would quote her poetry and she felt “very loved and cared for.”
Grace Recalled The First Time She Felt Scared Of Jonathan
Grace testified that the first time Jonathan became angry with her was in December 2021 when he took her to meet his dogs.
He gave her instructions on how to behave around the dogs and Grace mentioned her ex-boyfriend had a dog.
She said Jonathan became angry and raised his voice.
“How dare I mention him,” Jabbari quoted Majors telling her. “It’s embarrassing to him that I dated him. His dog is pathetic. This kind of stuff.“
Grace told the jury, “It was the first time I felt scared of him.”
Then, there was a June 2022 incident when Grace went to a festival and the cellphone reception was poor.
She said Jonathan was “not very nice” about it.
“Just that I shouldn’t be there and how dare I go,” she said. “You’re just out there drinking with your friends and I had a really hard week.”
Grace Jabbari recalled the time she brought friends home with her from the pub while she was living in London with Jonathan who was there shooting a film.
“He was getting a bit snappy. Just quick with his responses,” she said. So, she ushered everyone out of the house with the quickness.
The next day, Grace said she met Jonathan Majors at the park and he accused her of being an alcoholic, tore her headphones off of her head, and started shouting at her.
She said he warned her that she “better not be in the house when I get home.”
But, she didn’t finish packing her things before he returned.
“He proceeded to grab everything … and was just throwing it, swiping it, moving it and throwing it, anything I had bought him he was breaking,” Grace Jabbari said. “I just said, ‘You can stop, I’m leaving, just please stop.'”
In July 2022, in their West Hollywood home, Grace said Jonathan got upset with her and started throwing things at her.
“The first thing that he threw was the candle,” Jabbari said, as she showed the jury a photo of the room. “The dent in the wall is one of the candles.”
Jonathan Majors Demanded Grace Jabbari behave like Coretta Scott King Or Michelle Obama
The jury heard an audio recording Grace made with her iPhone where Jonathan scolded her and demanded that she behave like Coretta Scott King or Michelle Obama.
“I’m a great man. A great man. I do great things for my culture and for the world. … The woman that supports me needs to be a great woman,” Majors is heard on the recording saying. “Two nights ago, you did not do that. Which took away from the plan.”
“I just kept saying ‘I’m sorry’ and I took all the blame,” Jabbari testified. “I just took the full blame to calm him down.”

Grace also testified that Jonathan would threaten suicide when he got upset with her.
During a September 22, 2022, incident, Grace recalled, “He said that he was a monster and that he wants to kill himself and he has put actions in place to do so.”
Grace said she pleaded with him not to and tried to “make him feel safe and loved and secure.”
She said Jonathan would blame her, say it was her fault he got angry in the first place.
“Maybe he would say that he was sorry, but rarely,” Grace said. “I just felt like I was existing in his world and emotionally and physically and all these ways did not really feel my own autonomy.“
In January, Grace Jabbari and Jonathan Majors relocated to New York.
Grace said she spoke to Jonathan’s manager about his behavior hoping to get support.
As a result, Jonathan stopped talking to her for weeks.
In March 2023, Jonathan Majors was arrested for allegedly assaulting Grace Jabbari
Jonathan was arrested in his Chelsea apartment near West 22nd Street and With Avenue in Manhattan after responding to a 911 call.
Authorities later said Jonathan fought Grace and left her with minor injuries on her head and neck.
She was taken to the hospital and Jonathan was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment.
In June 2023, the actor filed a counter-claim against Grace claiming she was drunk and hysterical when she attacked him.
Jonathan alleges Grace slapped and scratched his face, causing him pain.
Grace Jabbari was briefly put under arrest at a New York City police station in October 2023 and charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief.
Jonathan Majors is now dating actress Meagan Good, who has been by his side steadfastly as he fights this case.
