Amazon MGM Studios has officially released the U.S. and international key art for Crime 101, and it perfectly matches the slick, sun-soaked tension teased in the newly released trailer.
Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 follows an elusive jewel thief played by Chris Hemsworth, whose bold string of robberies along the 101 freeway has law enforcement scrambling for answers.
Just when he sets his sights on what could be the score of a lifetime, his carefully calculated world collides with a disillusioned insurance broker portrayed by Halle Berry, who is standing at a crossroads of her own.
Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo steps in as a relentless detective convinced there is a method to the madness.
As he closes in, the pressure mounts and the line between hunter and hunted starts to blur.
With the heist looming, all three characters are forced to confront choices that could change everything, because once this road is taken, there is no turning back.
Adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella, Crime 101 is written and directed by Bart Layton, the filmmaker behind American Animals and The Imposter.
If you love smart crime stories that feel grounded, tense, and stylish without trying too hard, this one is already checking boxes.
The cast is stacked, too, with Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte rounding things out.
That lineup alone tells me we are not dealing with a lightweight thriller.
Crime 101 hits theaters on February 13, 2026, which feels like a very intentional Valentine’s weekend choice.
