Naomi Osaka is officially entering a new chapter.
On Thursday, tennis reporter Ben Rothenberg broke the news that the four-time Grand Slam champion is leaving Evolve and parting ways with longtime agent Stuart Duguid.
While the announcement landed before Osaka could share it on her own terms, she quickly confirmed the move with a brief and heartfelt message to fans.
“Starting in the new year I’ll be parting ways with Evolve,” Osaka wrote. “It’s been a great run and I’m so grateful for all the memories we shared.”
Osaka co-founded Evolve in 2022, making this decision both personal and professional.
Her contract with the agency officially expires at the end of 2025, and while she has not announced her next destination, multiple reports indicate she is expected to return to IMG in 2026, where Duguid represented her earlier in her career.
She also made it clear that any future plans will come directly from her.
“When I make my decision on where I’ll go next, you’ll hear it from me,” she added. “I’m so excited for the year ahead.”
Adding to the transition, Osaka’s close friend and longtime manager Alex Boston is expected to move with her, signaling continuity behind the scenes even as she reshapes her professional team.
The timing is notable. Osaka wrapped up the 2025 season ranked No. 16 in the world with a strong 35–15 singles record.
While injuries and coaching changes created challenges along the way, she proved she can still compete at the highest level.
Up next, Osaka will represent Japan in the United Cup before returning to Melbourne for the 2026 Australian Open in January.
One thing is certain. Whether on or off the court, Naomi Osaka remains firmly in control of her narrative.
Frens, the reset is resetting.
Wishing Naomi Osaka all the best.
