When I saw this update from Bun B, it truly touched my heart, and I wanted to share it with you in case someone here needs a little hope today.

The legendary UGK rapper and entrepreneur revealed that his wife, Queenie, had been quietly battling breast cancer.

The beautiful news is that after treatment, faith, and a whole lot of strength, she is now cancer-free.

Queenie’s Quiet Fight Against Breast Cancer

Bun B shared that Queenie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer during a routine yearly checkup last June.

From there, chemotherapy began in July and continued through December, followed by surgery the first week of January.

He posted a video of Queenie ringing the bell to mark the end of her treatment, and if you’ve ever known someone who has faced cancer, you know how emotional that moment is.

It represents survival, resilience, and a victory that is hard-earned.

What really stood out was how he described her fight.

He said she battled for her family and for herself with no self-doubt or pity.

Even while dealing with pain, exhaustion, and neuropathy, she still showed up for family events and pushed through discomfort without complaining.

He shared that her faith kept her standing tall through it all.

He also thanked her doctors for their care and bedside manner, along with family and close friends for the prayers and support that carried them through this season.

  1. Glory to God…..This story is so touching. I took my 19yr old son in for a routine yearly check up the day before Thanksgiving only to discover he has stage 2 hodgskin lymphoma cancer. By that Saturday his health had declined to where he was placed on a ventilator for 9 days and and placed on the ECMO machine for 14 days( life saving device). He has had several surgeries. We spent 59 days in the hospital. Chemotherapy was started. As of today, scans are showing the cancer is almost gone. He is still getting chemo for the next few months. My prayer is that he can ring that bell and be cancer free like Queenie….May God continue to bless you.
