Barbie Ferreira Exits ‘Euphoria’
Barbie Ferreira, who starred in the hit HBO series, “Euphoria,” announced she will not be returning for Season 3.
The 25-year-old actress played the role of “Kat Hernandez” in the Emmy-nominated series.
Her character description reads: Kat starts the school year looking to change her reputation. She takes difficult circumstances and turns them into an opportunity to explore her sexuality.
Barbie took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday (August 24) and announced her departure from the series.
She wrote:
After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye.
I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today.
I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it.
Love you Katherine Hernandez

‘Euphoria’ Fans React To Barbie Ferreira’s Exit
“Euphoria” fans were stunned by the news of Barbie’s exit and like many times before they took to the streets of social media to threaten the show’s creator, Sam Levinson.
One fan wrote, “Sam Levinson offered no resolution for any of Kat’s struggles. Instead, he made her a teenage camgirl, had her emotionally manipulate her boyfriend, then he practically turned her into a non-speaking background extra. Now, she’s gone completely yeah that makes sense.”
Another fan tweeted, “You couldn’t write a well-developed fat female character that wasn’t made just to be just flat comic relief but you decided to show balls, d**ks, and ti**ies every episode instead. Sam Levinson, you will pay.”
