Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is not letting up when it comes to dominating the crime storytelling space.

According to an exclusive report from Deadline, the Power mogul is developing a new true crime series for A&E through his G-Unit Film & Television banner, teaming up with Jonah Bekhor and Jonas Bell Pasht’s Citizen Jones.

The project, currently titled “Gang Wars,” is described as a raw, unfiltered true-crime series that aims to rip open America’s most infamous gang rivalries with unprecedented access and never-before-heard accounts.

What “Gang Wars” Is All About

“Gang Wars” will explore the street battles, betrayals, and power plays that helped shape the modern criminal underworld.

While the specific rivalries have not yet been revealed, the scope suggests the series will dive deep into stories that have long lived in whispers and headlines.

This is not positioned as a glossy retelling.

It is meant to be uncomfortable, direct, and rooted in lived experience.

If the project is ordered to series, it would add to the growing list of unscripted titles coming from 50 Cent’s expanding production empire.

50 Cent’s Proven Track Record in True Crime

50 Cent has quietly built one of the most consistent lanes in crime-focused storytelling, blending cultural context with gripping narratives that resonate across platforms.

Recent projects from G-Unit Film & Television include “The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast” Season 2, premiering January 16 on Starz, Netflix’s “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” “TikTok Star Murders,” “The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets” for Peacock, and “Hip Hop Homicides” for WE tv.

Each series leans into uncomfortable truths, which has become a signature of 50 Cent’s producing style.

The Power Franchise Keeps Expanding

Beyond unscripted work, Jackson remains the creative force behind the massively successful “Power” franchise at Starz.

The universe has expanded with spinoffs including “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and “Power Book IV: Force.”

The latest addition, “Power: Origins,” is currently in production in New York and New Jersey and follows the events leading into the final season of “Raising Kanan.”

He also executive produced “BMF,” which recently wrapped its fourth and final season, closing another major chapter in Jackson’s scripted crime run.

Citizen Jones Adds Documentary Muscle

50 Cent’s collaborators at Citizen Jones bring serious true-crime credentials to the table.

The production company is behind Netflix’s “How to Become a Cult Leader,” “How to Become a Mob Boss,” and “How to Become a Tyrant,” along with Investigation Discovery’s “The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder” and Hulu’s “Blood & Myth.”

That pairing of G-Unit’s cultural perspective and Citizen Jones’ documentary experience feels deliberate.

Why “Gang Wars” Could Hit Hard

If A&E gives the green light, “Gang Wars” has the potential to become one of the network’s most talked-about true crime series, while further cementing 50 Cent’s reputation as a dominant force in crime television.

This does not feel like a pivot. It feels like a continuation.

I’ll be keeping an eye on this one as more details are revealed.
