Katy Perry fans, the wait is almost over!

After hosting exclusive private listening sessions for her much-anticipated sixth album, the pop powerhouse has officially announced that the album’s first single, “Woman’s World,” will be dropping next month.

Single Release Date & Details

Mark your calendars for July 11 at 7 p.m. ET, when “Woman’s World” will make its grand debut.

But that’s not all—fans can also look forward to the premiere of the official music video the following day.

Katy has revealed the striking single cover art, shot by the talented Jack Bridgland, which features her in bold, metallic armor-like pants and a bikini top, embodying a fierce and empowering vibe.

A New Era Begins

This new single marks a significant return for Katy Perry, whose last album, Smile, was released nearly four years ago in August 2020.

Smile included hits like “Daisies” and its title track but fell short of commercial expectations, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Despite this, Katy’s resilience and artistry have continued to shine through.

Speaking about the upcoming single, Katy Perry shared, “I wanted ‘Woman’s World’ to be an anthem of strength and resilience. It’s about embracing power and femininity, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

From Vegas Residency To A New Musical Chapter

In the interim between albums, Perry captivated audiences with her Play residency in Las Vegas, which ran from 2021 to 2023.

The residency concluded last November with a tantalizing message, “See you next year,” hinting at the exciting projects ahead.

Reflecting on her time in Las Vegas, Perry said, “The Play residency was an incredible experience that allowed me to connect with fans on a deeper level.

Ending it with a promise of new music felt like the perfect way to transition into this new chapter.”

Balancing Music & Television

Apart from her musical endeavors, Katy has also made a significant impact on television as a judge on “American Idol” for seven seasons.

Earlier this year, she announced that the 22nd season would be her last, wrapping up her tenure in May.

Her departure from the show signals a shift in focus back to her music career.

In a statement about leaving “American Idol,” Katy Perry expressed, “Judging ‘American Idol’ has been a rewarding journey, but I’m ready to fully dive back into my music. This next era feels like a fresh start.”

A Major Music Deal

Katy’s strategic moves didn’t stop there.

In September, she sold her music catalog to Litmus Music for a staggering $255 million.

The Carlyle-backed company, which launched in 2022, also acquired the rights to Keith Urban’s master recordings, solidifying its position in the industry.

On the sale, Katy commented, “Selling my catalog was a big decision, but it allows me to focus on creating new music and exploring new creative avenues. I’m excited for what’s to come.”

What’s Next?

While details about Katy Perry’s sixth album remain under wraps, the buzz around “Woman’s World” suggests that fans can expect a powerful and personal collection of songs.

The official release date for the album is yet to be announced, but the anticipation is building.

As we await the release of “Woman’s World” on July 11, the excitement for Katy Perry’s next musical chapter is palpable.

With her blend of resilience, creativity, and star power, this new era is poised to be a remarkable one for the pop icon.
