Young Thug’s brother, Unfoonk, a former defendant in the YSL RICO case had his probation revoked after a recent arrest.
We previously reported, Unfoonk, whose real name is Quantavius Greer, was arrested on May 4 and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful person employed by or associated with a criminal street gang.
Both charges are a violation of the plea deal that he accepted in December related to the YSL RICO case.
Prosecutors called on several undercover Atlanta police officers to testify on June 5.
The officers answered several questions and reviewed the camera footage.
One of the officers described the night Unfoonk was taken into custody:
“There was a firearm that was in the, ah, door panel. Once I opened the door, he stated… pretty much an utterance. Um, that the firearm was registered.”
The officer also stated that when he encountered Unfoonk with two other officers, he was driving a Mercedes G Wagon and he smelled marijuana when he rolled down the window.
Grier’s attorney asked for leniency and to consider Grier’s lack of prior felony convictions, but the judge decided to revoke the remaining 9.5 years of his probation.
The judge stated that the plea deal that Grier accepted in December was straightforward, ordering him to serve 10 years probation and not possess a firearm.
Grier broke that rule within six months, which is why his probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve the remaining 9.5 years of his sentence.
