A Madea Homecoming is the No. 1 film on Netflix and Tyler Perry is super grateful!

The entertainment mogul took to social media to react to the success of his latest film, which garnered 31,560,000 viewing hours over the weekend.

The film centers around Madea’s great-grandson’s college graduation, though the celebratory moment hits a halt as hidden secrets and family drama threaten to destroy the happy homecoming.

A Madea Homecoming features all-stars of the Madea franchise, including Tamela Mann (Cora), David Mann (Mr. Brown), Cassi Davis Patton (Aunt Bam) as well as a guest appearance from iconic Irish actor Brendan O’Carroll, who matches Madea’s comedic prowess as Agnes

Tyler wrote on his Instagram page:

WOW!!!!! Since the beginning of my career, I was always told that “black movies” don’t do well in other countries.

I want to say, “thank you” to not only my ride or dies in the USA, but to all of you in the rest of the world that helped Hollywood see what I’ve always known!

Movies with Black people in them can appeal to the entire globe. Thank you, thank you, thank you. THANK YOU NETFLIX!! #amadeahomecoming
