Universal Pictures has dropped an exhilarating new trailer for the highly anticipated film “Twisters.”
This movie, which comes from the same producers behind blockbuster hits like “Jurassic,” “Bourne,” and “Indiana Jones,” promises to deliver a gripping experience for audiences worldwide.
Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated writer-director of “Minari,” “Twisters” features a star-studded cast including Daisy Edgar-Jones (“Where the Crawdads Sing“), Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick“), and Anthony Ramos (“Transformers: Rise of the Beasts“).
These actors portray characters who are equal forces with opposing motivations, brought together to confront and possibly tame the immense power of tornadoes.
Edgar-Jones takes on the role of Kate Carter, a former stormchaser haunted by a traumatic encounter with a tornado during her college years.
Now based in New York City, she studies storm patterns on screens until she’s drawn back to the open plains by her friend Javi (played by Ramos).
Together, they test a groundbreaking new tracking system and encounter Tyler Owens (Powell), a charming and reckless social media star known for sharing his storm-chasing adventures with his daring crew.
As storm season escalates, unprecedented and terrifying phenomena unfold, placing Kate, Tyler, Javi, and their teams directly in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma.
It’s a battle for survival like never before.
The cast of “Twisters” also includes Brandon Perea (“Nope“), Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney (“Beautiful Boy”), Sasha Lane (“American Honey”), Harry Hadden-Paton (“The Crown”), David Corenswet (“We Own This City”), Daryl McCormack (“Peaky Blinders”), Tunde Adebimpe (“Leave the World Behind“), Katy O’Brian (“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania“), Nik Dodani (“Atypical”), Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), and Paul Scheer (“Black Monday”).

Produced by Oscar nominee Frank Marshall (“Jurassic” and “Indiana Jones” franchises) and Patrick Crowley (“Jurassic” and “Bourne” franchises), “Twisters” is set to be a thrilling cinematic experience.
The screenplay is crafted by Mark L. Smith, known for his work on the Best Picture nominee “The Revenant,” based on a story by Joseph Kosinski (“Oblivion“), inspired by characters created by Michael Crichton and Anne Marie Crichton.
Executive producers for the film include Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg, Thomas Hayslip, and Ashley Jay Sandberg.
“Twisters” will be distributed domestically by Universal Pictures and internationally by Warner Bros. Pictures, promising audiences a captivating journey into the heart of nature’s fury.
