Former NBA star and podcaster Stephen Jackson is receiving backlash on social media for allegedly cutting in front of boxer Canelo Alvarez’s family while exiting the fight.

Canelo Alvarez fought Jermell Charlo Saturday night (September 30) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Canelo won the fight by majority decision.

Footage emerged online of Stephen Jackson allegedly cutting in front of Canelo’s family members while exiting the fight.

Security guards were present, and an onlooker told Stephen Jackson to let Canelo’s family go through first, and in the video footage, Stephen responded, “We can go too!… Why we gotta wait?… We not waiting!…

According to Stephen, he was asked by a security guard earlier if he could let the Canelo family go by, and he said, “of course.”

He said about 30 people went by, and he decided to go because he was not waiting for 60 more people, who might not be in Canelo’s family, to go by.
