Shock G will be laid to rest in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday (May 1).
Digital Underground member Money B has been working with Shock G’s family to prep for the funeral.
A large hip-hop contingent is expected to attend the funeral because Shock G was loved by many.
A rep for the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation said Tupac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur, will also attend the service.
Shock G passed away on April 22 in a Tampa hotel room. His father said there were no signs of trauma.
The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner reported Shock G was last seen the day before he died when a hotel manager noticed him outside the building.
Reportedly, the hotel manager grew concerned when Shock G missed his check-out time, and he went to his room and found the rapper unresponsive laying in bed.
The manager immediately called 911.
His cause of death is still unknown.
