It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of ShaVi Lewis, the talented designer from Season 18 of “Project Runway.”
ShaVi, who inspired so many with his creativity and distinct style, left us on February 24 at the age of 38.
Heartfelt Tributes
ShaVi’s passing was confirmed by his beloved aunt, Deidra DivaDoll Elkerson, who posted an emotional tribute on Facebook.
In her heartfelt message, she expressed that she would no longer hear his warm greetings—fondly known as “Hey Auntie Diva”—and asked that his mother Joyce Solomon-Frierson, his father Franklin Frierson, his brother Troy Solomon Frierson, and his sister Akira Frierson Wood be kept in everyone’s prayers.
She described him as leaving an incredible mark on this earth and imagined the joyful reunion he would have with loved ones who had passed before him.
Her moving words remind us that he will always be loved and never forgotten.

ShaVi Lewis’ Journey On ‘Project Runway’
ShaVi Lewis captured our hearts when he competed on “Project Runway” Season 18, which aired on Bravo between December 2019 and March 2020.
Although he was eliminated on Episode 6, placing 10th, his creative flair and vibrant personality left an unforgettable impression on the show and its audience.

I don’t have the words. My heart aches. The world and this industry will be dim without your light in it.
Your love, your laughter, and your continuous support no matter where we were in life was everything. Season 18 forever and ever.
