Rihanna and Jack Dorsey (Twitter and Square CEO) have joined forces to help Los Angeles domestic violence victims affected by the Coronavirus quarantine.

According to reports, domestic violence incidents have been on the rise during the Coronavirus quarantine.

On Thursday, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation and Jack announced they are committing to donating $2.1 million each to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to address the current crisis among domestic violence victims in the city.

The funding will be provided over the course of 10 weeks to provide shelter, meals, and counseling for domestic violence victims and their children.

The news comes on the heels of Jack announcing he was allocating $1 billion of his equity in Square to help fund COVID-19 relief efforts.

Last week, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation and JAY-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation announced $2 million in grants to support undocumented workers, the children of front-line health workers and first responders, and incarcerated, elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles.
