A celebratory night for Polo G ended with the rapper being arrested and jailed in Miami.
The 22-year-old rapper, real name Taurus Bartlett, was in the city celebrating the release of his third studio album, Hall of Fame.
When he left the party, the vehicle Polo was riding in was pulled over by police in the area of Biscayne Boulevard and Southeast First Street around 12:30 a.m. for what is being described as a “traffic infraction.”
During the traffic stop, police claim Polo G assaulted one of the arresting officers and treated to kill him.
The rapper was arrested and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 8 a.m. Saturday on a laundry list of charges, including battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief.
The bond on the five charges totals $19,500.
Polo’s momager, Stacia Mac, was understandably livid and extremely concerned about the rapper and her minor son, who was also in the car when Miami PD stopped them.
She took to Instagram Live and to share what was happening.

She also took to social media trying to get answers about her sons!
Stacia Mac also tweeted:
None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done.
She continued to offer updates via Facebook…
They are all being detained. Still in jail. No clue what they are being charged with. Polo. Leilani. Lil Baby. Crystal. Our stylist/ friend. Hen his chief of security and 3 of their friends. Pray that my children and everyone are returned safely.
A few hours ago, Stacia shared:
I have tbaby. I’ve bonded out Polo and everyone. I’ve also, of course, notified my attorney. I’ll be relieved when I have everyone out of jail safely. Thank you guys for your support.
