Paul George recently talked with BR Gaming about his NBA 2K21 Next-Gen rating and he revealed that he is using this year’s rating as inspiration to level up.
Next-Gen means next generation, a common label applied to a major upgrade of a hardware or software product like the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 consoles.
Paul George did not live up to his self-imposed nickname “Playoff P” in this year’s Bubble Playoffs.
He averaged 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in 13 playoff games, which isn’t a bad stat line, but the scoring was extremely spotty.
Paul cited his shooting woes to depression and anxiety due to the circumstances of being confined to the NBA Bubble in Orlando, Florida, away from his family and friends.
George’s team was a heavy favorite to win the NBA Championship coming into the 2020 Bubble Playoffs, but they were shockingly put out by the Denver Nuggets after blowing a 3-1 lead in the semifinal round.
George’s subpar play in the series definitely contributed to the Clippers‘ elimination.
BR Gaming asked George to predict his 2K21 Next-Gen rating and he hit the nail on the head with his guess. His rating was well below the 93 rating that he started with last season. The rating scale goes from 1-100.
After guessing his rating, Paul George revealed that he is going to be training hard this off-season and he predicts that next year will be the highest rating that he’s ever received on the game.
