Running a family business is a life sentence. Paramount+ has released the official trailer for “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 2.
The series stars Jeremy Renner and follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.
Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.
The cast includes Oscar-winning actress Dianne Wiest, Emma Laird, Aidan Gillen, Hugh Dillion, Derek Webster, Taylor Handley, and Tobi Bamtefa.
If you pay close attention to the trailer, you will notice Grammy-nominated rapper D Smoke has joined the cast as one of the inmates.

I’m also excited to share actress and director Tasha Smith directed two episodes of the new season.
She took to social media writing, “I directed 2 incredible episodes. I can’t wait for you to see it! The show drops in January and it’s freaking incredible. I’m #obsessed #directorslife keeps getting better and better!”
