Paramount+ may not be the loudest streamer this month, but it is quietly delivering some very interesting picks.

If you enjoy thrillers, dark comedy, and stories that make you side-eye every character, February has a few gems worth your time.

I took a look at what’s arriving, and honestly, a couple of these could become sleeper hits.

“Old Guy” – Streaming February 1

A contract killer at the end of his career gets pulled back in to train a Gen Z newcomer.

The premise alone sets up tension, generational culture clashes, and dark humor.

If you like mentor-protégé stories with an edge, this one looks promising.

“Can You Keep A Secret?” – Streaming February 12

This dark comedy thriller centers on Debbie Fendon, a grandmother who will do anything to protect her family.

The problem is she might be the biggest threat to them.

Her husband is mistakenly declared dead and secretly living in the loft while they wait on life insurance money.

Yes, it is as messy as it sounds.

When their son and his police-officer wife get pulled in, long-buried secrets start to unravel.

This feels like the kind of story that gets people talking.

“Wild Boys: Strangers In Town” – Streaming February 18

Based on a true story, this documentary follows two brothers who appeared in British Columbia claiming they were raised fully off the grid with no records or schooling.

As a local mother helps them, journalists and authorities begin asking hard questions.

True crime fans will likely eat this one up.

“Dreaming Whilst Black” Season 2 – Streaming February 20

Dreaming Whilst Black Season 2 trailer and February 20, 2026 premiere date on Paramount+

Adjani Salmon returns as Kwabena, a filmmaker trying to succeed without selling out.

Season 2 finds him landing a major directing opportunity that looks progressive on the surface but comes with complicated realities about power and representation.

Creatives will probably find this one painfully relatable.

Paramount+ is offering quality over quantity this month, and sometimes that is exactly what a watchlist needs.
