Natalie Desselle Reid Passes Away At 53 After Battling Colon Cancer

It’s with a heavy heart that I report Natalie Desselle Reid passed away on Monday (December 7) morning after battling colon cancer.

She was 53.

The family released this statement via social media:

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Natalie this morning. She was a bright light in this world. A queen. An extraordinary mother and wife. 

Her diverse career touched so many and she will be loved forever. Naturally, we are grieving and processing this profound loss and we thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this extremely difficult time. ???

Natalie’s manager, Delores Robinson, released the following statement via Twitter:

Natalie Desselle the beautiful talented actress passed away this morning. Natalie was a bright light. She was an amazing actress and comedienne but also an awesome mother & wife. Sending prayers to her family. I had the pleasure of managing her career.

TMZ reports Natalie was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year and kept her battle private.

She was in hospice care in her final days and surrounded by family when she transitioned.

Natalie Desselle Reid is known and loved for her roles on “Eve,” “For Your Love,” and of course, B*A*P*S.

Holly Robinson Peete took to social media to mourn Natalie’s passing.

She wrote:

??????????I’m just absolutely devastated by this news. This morning we lost @nataliedessellereid -a beautiful queen, actress, comedienne, mother and wife. Another blow this year. I had to pleasure to know Natalie early in her career with my mother managed her. My mom and Natalie spoke recently and reminisced laughed and caught up. I’m sending out prayers for her family. Rest in peace, sweet Natalie. You were so loved and will continue to be forever. ??????????????
