Mystikal has been arrested for rape…AGAIN!
The 52-year-old New Orleans rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was arrested and booked on Sunday (July 31) on several charges, including first-degree rape and false imprisonment.
Mystikal is also facing charges of simple robbery, domestic abuse battery, and simple criminal damage to property.
At this time, no bond has been set.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time the former No Limit rapper has been accused of a heinous crime.
In 2003, he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and served six years in prison.
He told the Associated Press that he had “learned from the first situation,” but he also acknowledged that there are some people who will never forgive him for his past mistakes.
“I can’t do nothing about that, but I try to understand where they’re coming from,” he explained. “At this point in age, I’m just grateful to still be able to participate. At my concerts, man, I still (have a) packed house after all this time. It’s amazing.”
But, in 2004, Mystikal was accused of sexually assaulting his hairstylist.
Then, in 2017, he surrendered to police and was arrested again for first-degree rape for an assault that allegedly happened in a Shreveport casino.
The rapper was released on a $3 million bond and the charges were eventually dropped.
Now, at this point…where there is smoke there is fire.
Mystikal is a registered sex offender.
