In a heartfelt message, Monaleo explained that the situation escalated quickly after she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen.
What Happened To Monaleo?
According to the rapper, the pain started suddenly and became so intense that she eventually went to the emergency room.
Doctors discovered that Monaleo had an inflamed ovarian cyst roughly the size of a softball that had twisted and cut off blood flow, causing internal bleeding.
The condition required immediate surgery.
Sadly, the procedure resulted in the loss of one ovary and fallopian tube.
Monaleo shared that she is still hospitalized in Memphis but expects to be released soon so she can return home and begin her recovery.
Despite the frightening ordeal, she reassured fans that the surgery was successful and that she is now focused on healing.
Shows Canceled As Recovery Begins
Because of the emergency surgery, Monaleo confirmed that she had to cancel her Memphis and New Orleans tour stops.
She acknowledged that many fans travel, purchase outfits, and prepare for shows, and she expressed sincere gratitude for their understanding.
Her team is currently working on refund options and exploring rescheduled dates.
In an official statement shared on Instagram, Monaleo also thanked fans who have supported her throughout the tour so far and promised to keep everyone updated as she recovers.
