Megan Thee Stallion is taking legal action against a social media personality who she claims has been spreading harmful misinformation about her high-profile criminal case. The Houston-born rapper, real name Megan Pete, has filed a lawsuit against Milagro Gramz (Milagro Elizabeth Cooper) for defamation, cyberstalking, and other charges.
In the lawsuit, Megan’s attorneys accuse Gramz of running a “campaign of harassment” that includes sharing a pornographic “deepfake” video depicting the rapper.
Megan’s legal team says this violates a Florida statute prohibiting the creation of altered sexual content of real individuals without their consent.
The lawsuit comes on the heels of a recent false story circulating online that incorrectly claimed Megan’s alleged assailant, rapper Tory Lanez, had been declared “innocent” on appeal.
Lanez was convicted in December 2022 on three felony counts related to the 2020 shooting incident in which he allegedly fired at Megan’s feet following a pool party at Kylie Jenner‘s house.
Megan’s long-time lawyer, Alex Spiro, had previously warned that legal action would be taken over the spread of such “nonsense” narratives.
In the new lawsuit, Megan’s team accuses Gramz of “churning out falsehoods” that question whether Megan was even shot and claim she was “caught trying to deceive the courts.”
The rapper, known for hits like “Savage” and “WAP,” has become an outspoken advocate for women’s rights.
In a statement, Megan said she would “no longer stand for” the “campaign of harassment” from Gramz, whom she described as a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Tory Lanez.
“I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists,” Megan said.
“It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
Milagro took to Twitter to respond to the lawsuit writing:
I’ve been informed that I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion:
“We are filing a civil action against you concerning your campaign of harassment and cyberbullying and the false comments you made regarding Ms. Pete…..the plaintiff is aware of your conspiratorial with Mr. Peterson and knows you are a paid surrogate of Mr. Peterson…..”
Of course we’ll chat about it. They threw in the tape too.
Milagro also added, “Countersuit gone go crazy.”
With this high-profile lawsuit, Megan Thee Stallion is sending a clear message: the days of spreading misinformation about her traumatic experience are over.
She’s taking a stand to protect her reputation and ensure the truth prevails, no matter who tries to distort it.
