Back in February, I got an early glimpse of “Matchbox The Movie” during Apple TV’s press day, and I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since.
Now that the official trailer has finally dropped, I can honestly say my excitement hasn’t changed one bit.
If you’re looking for a fun action movie with plenty of laughs, big stunts, and a cast that looks like they’re having a blast, this one deserves a spot on your watchlist.

Between the fast-paced chase scenes, explosive moments, and the chemistry between the cast, this looks like the kind of movie that’s made to be a fun ride from beginning to end.

What’s “Matchbox The Movie” About?
John Cena stars as Sean, an undercover CIA agent whose unexpected return to his hometown turns into anything but a happy reunion.
Before long, he and his childhood friends find themselves caught up in a dangerous mission that sends them on an international chase with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how a movie inspired by Matchbox cars would come together.
But after getting that first look back in February and finally seeing the trailer, I get it.
This isn’t really about the toy cars. It’s about a group of lifelong friends getting pulled into an unbelievable situation and trying to survive it together.
Throw in plenty of action, comedy, and over-the-top stunts, and it looks like it’ll make for a really entertaining movie night.
Behind the camera, Sam Hargrave directs from a screenplay by David Coggeshall.
