Johnny Gill took to social media to mourn the recent passing of the Clarence Avant.
Clarence, who was lauded as the “Godfather of Black Music,” transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 14, and reunited with his wife, Jacqueline Avant.
Johnny Gill took to his Instagram page and shared a photo of himself with Mr. and Mrs. Avant.
The caption on the post read:
I can’t lie, my heart is hurting, you showed up at a crucial time in my life and you said I got you from here kid, and you did!
You and Jackie treated me as if I was one of your own.
I love and miss you both so much!
Rest in power!!🙏🏿🙏🏿💔
