It’s with a truly heavy heart that I share this news. Cori Broadus, the daughter of Snoop Dogg, is mourning the passing of her baby girl, Codi Dreaux, and the loss is simply heartbreaking.
Cori took to her Instagram Story to share the devastating update, writing:
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”
If you’ve followed Cori’s journey into motherhood, you know how open she has been about her pregnancy, her fears, and her faith.
You could feel how deeply Codi Dreaux was loved and prayed over from day one.
She later shared a photo from the day she brought her daughter home, adding, “20 days later… dawg im sick.”
Her words are raw and honest, and they reflect a grief no parent should ever have to experience.
A Journey Filled With Faith And Hope
Codi Dreaux’s life was marked by strength from the very beginning.
She was born at 25 weeks after Cori developed HELLP syndrome, a serious and life-threatening pregnancy complication.
Cori previously shared that doctors told her coming in when she did likely saved her life.
For months, baby Codi Dreaux fought in the NICU while Cori and her fiancé Wayne Deuce leaned on faith, prayer, and the support of loved ones.
On January 6, Cori joyfully shared that her daughter was finally home after her long NICU stay.
She wrote:
“She’s home. 🤍
Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love.
God heard them all. 🕊️✨”
That moment felt like a miracle for their family and for everyone who had been rooting for baby Codi Dreaux.
Which is why this loss feels especially difficult to process.
A Father’s Love
Wayne Deuce also shared a touching tribute to his daughter, writing:
“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”

His message speaks to the love he had for his daughter and the bond they built during her fight.
Holding Space For Their Grief
There are no perfect words for moments like this. The passing of a child is a pain that runs deep and it deserves gentleness and compassion.
My heart goes out to Cori, Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and their entire family as they navigate this painful time.
If you are the praying type, please keep them lifted. If not, even a quiet moment of compassion matters.
Rest peacefully, sweet Codi Dreaux.
You were loved, you were fought for, and your life touched so many in a short time.
