HBO Max has announced they are releasing their special episode of “Euphoria” early.
The first of two special episodes was slated to be released this Sunday, December 6, but HBO Max got the antsy pants and decided to drop it on Thursday, December 3 at 9 p.m.EST.
This isn’t the first time this has happened with the streamer.
They confused folks terribly when they released “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Reunion Show early after etching the release date on our brains for months.
Anywho…here’s what we know about the special episode:
The episodes picks up right after the season 1 finale, in which Rue (Zendaya) uses cocaine and relapses after her girlfriend Jules (Hunter Schafer) gets on a train and leaves her after their high school winter formal. Rue sits in a diner contemplating her life when she runs into Ali (Colman Domingo), whom she met at her Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
The first episode will find Rue in the aftermath of being left by Jules at the train station and relapsing. The episode, written and helmed by series creator Sam Levinson, follows Rue as she celebrates Christmas.
