Frens, it’s really happening. After years of waiting, Universal Pictures has finally dropped the first teaser trailer for Shrek 5, bringing Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey back to the big screen for another adventure in Far Far Away.
The teaser also introduces Zendaya as Felicia, the daughter of Shrek and Fiona, and now I’m even more curious to see what this next chapter has in store.

Zendaya Joins The ‘Shrek 5’ Cast
One of the biggest surprises from the teaser is the introduction of Felicia, the daughter of Shrek and Fiona, voiced by Zendaya.
Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo also join the cast as Felicia’s brothers, Fergus and Farkle.
The film reunites comedy legends Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz in their iconic roles, giving fans another chance to spend time with some of animation’s most beloved characters.
Between the return of the original cast and Zendaya joining the swamp family, Shrek 5 already has my attention.
Familiar Faces Return Behind The Scenes
Shrek 5 is directed by franchise veterans Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn.
Gina Shay returns as producer alongside Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, with Brad Ableson serving as co-director.

DreamWorks isn’t revealing much about the story just yet, but the teaser does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
It reminds us why we fell in love with these characters in the first place and gets us excited for another trip back to Far Far Away.
