Buckle up, BessFrens, because we have officially entered Round 2 of Funky Dineva vs. Tamar Braxton, and the tea is hotter than my flat iron on wash day.
I previously reported that Funky and Tamar fell out back in August after she woke up in a pool of blood with a fractured nose and missing teeth.

The friendship veered all the way off the road when folks began pointing the finger at Funky Dineva because he was the last person publicly seen with Tamar before her “near death” incident.
Tamar sat quietly and didn’t clear his name, which only added fuel to the fire.
Then Tamar dropped a trailer for her forthcoming EP that made the whole situation look like a publicity stunt.

Funky accused her of making him “collateral damage” in what he called a “2-bit PR stunt.”

Fast forward four months and I can’t even get my Christmas tree up before they are back at it again.
Tamar Braxton recently sat down with Lore’l and was asked about the night Uncle Charles allegedly tried to lead her to the Crossroads.
Tamar gave her version of events and some detailed insight on how that night unfolded.
Here is part of their exchange:
Lore’l: “Are you aware of what really happened to you? Or can you talk about what happened?”
Tamar Braxton: “I can talk about it, but I’m not aware of what really happened to me.”
Tamar went on to say she had hosted a birthday gathering that night.
Tamar Braxton: “All I know is that I went to a friend’s birthday party. I gave a friend a birthday party. I came home like I would normally do. I’ll take a shower, wash my face, come back in the kitchen. We’ll have more cocktails or have some food and congregate until everybody leaves. The last person left and one of my friends was just a little too intoxicated to drive, which is fine. My third bedroom is very iconic. You can stay right here.”
She explained that she later fell asleep while texting.
Tamar Braxton: “Actually, me and Brian was texting each other while I was watching Real Housewives of Orange County and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I woke up to my friend shaking me like ‘Tay, are you okay? What’s going on? I’m calling the police, I’m calling an ambulance.’ I was like, ‘No you’re not.’ And then when I came to, it was like teeth and blood all over the place. I do not remember anything.”
Lore’l asked if she confronted the friend.
Tamar Braxton: “That person wasn’t capable. That person was mortified.”
Tamar also revealed the aftermath took a mental and physical toll.
Tamar Braxton: “I went to the hospital to try to figure it out because I was in excruciating pain. My whole right side of my body was so numb. I couldn’t even lay down. I had to lay on the floor on my back.”

Now here’s where it gets messier than the back of a deep freezer.
Whatever Tamar said must have struck a nerve because Funky Dineva hopped on his nightly YouTube show and told everything like Usher on a “Confessions” record.
According to Funky:
Funky Dineva: “Part of the problem with this whole thing, Tamar, is that I was never comfortable with the relationship that you and Mendeecees had in front of me. You at the music video show in your booty shorts sitting on top of him. Him meeting us at restaurants every time we met up. I was very uncomfortable with it.”
He went even further.
Funky Dineva: “Since she was throwing a party for a friend, do y’all wanna know why I did not get out the car and go upstairs with Tamar when we got back to her house? Because after her and Mendeecees got through kissing in the back of that car, I figured they wanted to be up there privately. That is why I did not go upstairs. I got in my car and went home.”
Then he dropped the bomb.
Funky Dineva: “If anybody know what happened to your teeth, it’s Mendeecees and his best friend because they was the ones who went upstairs with you. Now I don’t know whether they was f**king your a** from the back and ran your head through the headboard or what, but if anybody need to be investigated, it need to be Mendeecees and his friend. Cause that’s who went upstair witcha!”

Tamar gave a completely different story in her interview. When asked about her relationship with Mendeecees, she said:
Tamar Braxton: “To be honest, I barely even know him. We’re cool but he’s not my homie. He just got casted in a film and here we are.”
When asked about Yandy Smith-Harris, Tamar made it clear there was no drama.
Tamar Braxton: “I’ve never met the lady. I’ve never seen them like that either. Never talked to her, never met her. It wasn’t a situation where I was finna go after somebody. I met somebody and this person was perfect for the role.”

Let me go ahead and tell the truth. I knew a friendship between Funky Dineva and Tamar Braxton had the structural integrity of wet toilet paper. So the fallout? Not surprising. It’s the rest of these seasonings and side dishes that have me clutching my pearls.
