“With all humility, faith, and deep respect for Christ and this global gospel music and ministry community,” Donnie began, acknowledging the seriousness of the claims while rejecting them outright.
“I want to state clearly and unequivocally that these allegations are contrived and untrue~!” the statement reads.
Donnie Addresses Allegations And Survivor Advocacy
In the statement, Donnie acknowledged the seriousness of sexual violence while maintaining his innocence.
“Sexual violence, in any form, is a real and painful reality for many and not to be used frivolously,” he said. “True Survivors deserve to be heard, protected, and supported! At the same time, the TRUTH matters! And the TRUTH has not been told~!”
He also urged the faith community to withhold judgment as the legal process unfolds.
“I ask that this community exercises patience and trust in God’s timing for the truth to fully come to light,” Donnie wrote.
“Emphatically Untrue”: Donnie Rejects Claims Of Misconduct
Donnie denied any misuse of power, leadership, or influence, calling the allegations false in their entirety.
“This accusation of salacious engagement or ANY misconduct that harmed, exploited or took advantage of anyone and misused my position, leadership, or influence in any way… is emphatically untrue,” the statement reads.
Legal Defense And Next Steps
Donnie confirmed that although he has not yet been formally served with the lawsuit, he is preparing to defend himself.
“Although I have NOT yet been SERVED with the official legal complaint, I am proactively cooperating fully with the appropriate processes and will vigorously defend to the fullest against this defamatory and baseless lawsuit,” he stated.
He added that he believes the legal process will ultimately clear his name.
“I am confident that when the truth is fully known, I will be vindicated.”
Closing Message And Appeal For Prayer
Donnie concluded his statement with a message to both supporters and critics, asking for prayer and patience.
“Please pray for the accuser, as well… seriously and sincerely~!” he wrote.
He ended with a note of faith and reassurance:
