21 Savage has enlisted Donald Glover and “Stranger Things” star Caleb McLaughlin to portray him in the forthcoming film, American Dream: The 21 Savage Story.

The film appears to be a biopic of the U.K.-born Atlanta-raised rapper, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph.

The music video-styled trailer depicts when 21 Savage, portrayed by Donald Glover, was arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in 2019.

You may recall that the rapper remained incarcerated for several weeks and was threatened with deportation.

Ultimately, an online campaign led to his release and ability to remain in the country.

American Dream is written and directed by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover.

Fam Udeorji and Luis Perez are also listed as directors.

In addition to Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin, the film features guest appearances by Gail Bean, Druski, Jabari Banks, Chad Lindberg, Victoria Pedretti, Young Mazino, and Natasha Lyonne.
